Name: Valentina (Val) Noelle Landyn
Played By: Leighton Meester
Age: 18
Role: Choir Queer
Personality: Valentina has extreme ups and downs with her emotions. One minute, she’ll be happy and hyper without a care in the world. The next, however, she’ll be sitting down, sulking and crying. None of these quick emotion changes are her fault; It’s just something that happens on more often then one would want.
When Valentina is happy, it seems as if there isn’t anything wrong in the world. She has the biggest, brightest smile on her face, and she constantly laughs. She is extremely loud and won’t ever shut up, no matter how many people tell her to. From this image of her, you could never imagine that she could ever be sad.
However, when she is sad, it is the exact opposite. She can’t think of anything to do other then sit around and sulk. Once Valentina gets sad for any reason, everything that has ever made her sad comes back to mind, making her even sadder then she was to begin with. She usually gets over her sadness fairly quickly, but those who have seen her sad know that it isn’t normal for someone to get as depressed as she does so quickly.
Appearance:
History: Valentina Noelle Landyn was born in snowy Boston on December 24th to Veronica Moore-Landyn and Thomas Landyn. Her parents named her Valentina after Thomas’ grandmother, and since she was born on Christmas Eve, they thought that Noelle was appropriate for her middle name. She was the second child; Her brother, Vincent, or Vinny, as she called him, was 3 years older then she was. Her parents never had any other children, and she never minded. Vinny and Val got along wonderfully, which is something to be said for this day and age.
Nothing extremely significant happened in Valentina’s childhood. Her parents divorced when she was a toddler. It never really bothered her, however; She was too young when it happened to even picture her parents together. When Val was 7 and Vinny was 10, their mother got remarried to a man named Mark Bates. Valentina didn't mind Mark, in fact, she really like him. For Mike, however, it was a completely different story. He couldn't stand Mark, as he hated the fact that his mother was married to someone other then his dad. He moved in with their father in an attempt to distance himself from his new stepfather, and it worked. Although she still saw her dad and brother every other weekend, for a while, it felt as if she was an only child.
When Valentina was 14, Mark's company transferred him from Boston to the town she now lives in, forcing Val to leave her father and brother behind in a city across the country. This separation was devastating for Valentina, leaving her lonely and sad in a new city. She had always had a problem with her emotions and how to control them, but the separation between her and her father and brother made them even harder to control.
