Leah contemplated Sadie's request in her mind for a few seconds. What was there to be gained from this? Nothing. She would gain absolutely nothing, although her sister's popularity would be history. What was there to gain by not telling Melodie about Sadie and her geek? Nothing, except maybe a bit of trust from her sister. "If Melodie finds out about this, I will personally make your life a living hell." she said, giving in.

"If Melodie finds out from someone not you, you know nothing. I will say that it was so secret not even my own sister knew. I will not jepordize your goals Leah... I will however risk my own for who I love." Sadie fell back on to a couch and stared at the celing. "Lee you have no idea just how perfect he is and how cute of a couple we make. I think he's the one.

"That could work, I suppose..." Leah said, thinking it out. Sadie was known to be secretive. If there was someone who could keep a secret away from everyone, even their own sister, it would be Sadie Sparks. At that, Leah felt relieved. There was no danger for her popularity after all... And, for the first time in her life, she felt like she did something at least slightly nice.
"I can't imagine risking my popularity for a guy." Leah said, and it was true. Her popularity was everything to her. She couldn't imagine giving it all up for something like a guy. "You must really like him."

"Not like Lee, I love him. I'm in love with him. I could actually see myself settling down, getting married and having children, with him. He's the first guy that hasn't been just a one night stand, you know my rep." She sighed staring at the high celing of their house.

Leah raised her eyebrows in disbelief. She had never heard her sister talking so seriously about a guy before. And Sadie was right; she did know all about Sadie's reputation with guys. The multiple one-night-stands and constant flirting was hardly something that no one would hear about. "That's really serious, Sadie." Leah said. "Are you sure that he's really the one?" As much as Leah hated to admit it, she was actually a bit worried about Sadie. After all, no matter how hard she tried to deny it, the girl was her baby sister.

"I'm positive. He is the only person I've ever seen myself close with and I don't want to let it end. Lee he is without a doubt the one." Sadie said all lovestruck. With how much she loved Jasper, it was hard to hide it.

Leah raised her eyebrows again. "Hm..." She said, thinking about it for a moment. "You really do seem serious about him... Surprising... Not exactly something I could ignore." She shook her head. "Well, if your willing to destroy your reputation for him, at least you love him that much." Leah wondered if that made any sense, but nodded, hoping her sister could get the meaning out of her words.

"Yeah but he won't let me ruin it for him. IT was his idea to keep us a secret, he didn't want me to socially die. Melodie can be quite vicous." Sadie said quietly happy she had her sister back to talk to, usually they just fought.

"You're telling me." Leah said, laughing as they talked about Melodie. Leah had seen first hand what Melodie did to people who lied to her or betrayed her trust. She really didn't want to be the victim of a Melodie attack. Some of the people that were had transfered schools before she had a chance to do it again. "Well, that's definitely a plus for him. Maybe if it wouldn't completely ruin my reputation, I'd actually talk to this kid."

"He is so amazing though Leah, he's worth everything I'm risking." She smiledl ightly but then thought back to what they were saying about Melodie. "Oh Shasta says hi, I still feel so sorry for her. Cross Mel once and you end up like her."
Everyone knew about her, the girl that fell from grace, fell from popularity sophomore year, it was the saddest thing. Melodie accused her of something stupid and then the whole popluar race hated her. "She and I had detention together yesterday." Sadie laughed slightly.

"Well, that's good, I suppose." It felt so weird to Leah having a talk like this with the sister she normally dispised. When Sadie started talking about Shasta, Leah listened intently. Shasta used to be one of her really good friends. However, when Melodie accused her of something Leah couldn't remember anymore and caused her to loose her popularity, Leah wouldn't dare talk to her. To her, it wasn't worth it.
"How is she these days?" Leah asked, curious about her old friend.

"She's good, she's in a band now with Aiden and Alley. Can't remember the name of it but she says it's a lot of fun and losing her popularity was one of the best things that could have happened to her." Sadie said with a smile glad to see her old friend was doing great.

"Oh, well, good for her, I suppose." Leah said. She was more happy for her old friend then she let on. She was glad that Shasta was happy without her popularity, although why anyone could be happy after being completely sacked from the "in crowd", she'd never understand.

"Yeah they got a gig soon. You should come with me and Jasper to go check it out. It's at the Club nothing special." Sadie said still staring at the celing now counting the sparkling dots.

"Hm..." Leah thought about it. It would be fun to watch someone who used to be such a good friend of hers performing. But the more she thought, she came up with more reasons why she shouldn't go: What would people say to see her there? More importantly, what would people say to see her there with Sadie and Jasper? "I don't think that's a very good idea, Sadie."
