Art supplies were never cheap, Evie knew that, and she hated running out. But, of course when a muse hits and one takes advantage of it, supplies run dry and fast. Her Aunt and Uncle didn't understand what she needed becasue she wouldn't talk to them so that left only two options. The first one was impossible, that was buying supplies on her own, she had no money and refused to let Logan get them. It was too much that he had to pay for perscripitons after his 'episode' but she wouldn't let him buy her expensive things. Option 2 it had to be then and that option was terrifying. The second option was going home and getting the numerous supplies she left when she and Jordan packed so quickly the day they left for good. NOw she found herself needing to go back. Inhaling once, she stepped outside her house doors and started down the street, but she completely forgot she had made plans with Logan. HE'd be arriving soon and she was off to a forbiddon place. Only fate knows what would occur next.

Logan's car rummbled into Evie's driveway. He was about to honk the horn when he realized she was already next to his car. He jumped in surprise and rolled down the window. "Evie, what are you doing halfway down the sidewalk? I told you I was picking you up." This was the first time in two weeks that Logan had felt strong enough to even leave the house. Going up and down three flights of stairs was quite a chore. Evie had offered for him to stay at her place many times, but he had declined. He didnt want to be a bother. So today was their one day that they could truely be together. "Get in the car, its hot outside. Your going to melt."

"I have things to do today that I don't want you a part of. Please Logan, for once let me be." She said stronger than she felt as she didn't stop. She continued down the path she knew all to well. Her old house was only 10 miles from her current location but her parents were never sober enough to realize that. And for that she was always lucky.

Logan followed Evie determinedly, letting his car roll at her pace. He hung out the window, face creased with sudden worry. "Something you dont want me part of? Evie, I dont like this. Whats going on? You know if you keep walking I will just follow you, so whats the point?"

"I'm going to my fathers house, there happy?" She snapped, well as much as Evie could snap anyways. "I need my art stuff and the only way I'm getting it is if I go there. I don't want you to be a part of this Logan. It's my past, I should face it alone."

"Face your past alone?" Logan scoffed. "Since when do you talk like that? We do everything together." He hated the thought of her going to that horrid place, but he knew that no words could stop her. "I know I have to let you go, but you are not going alone. Im coming with you, wether you hate me for it or not."

"Okay." She said with a blink and stopping so he knew she wanted in the car. "I guess you can come."

Logan threw open the door and waited restlessly for her to hop in. His fingers tapped against the wheel and his eyes were locked ahead. "Where is this place?" He asked in a flat voice. "And how are you getting your stuff from in there?"

"Well he is probably passed out by now and the place isn't too far from here." She said quietly jumping in the car. Pointing ahead she waited for the car to move in the directiong of her finger.

Logan grunted a reply. His mind was far away has he drove in the direction she pointed. Hopefully her parents really were passed out, and they could just run in, get her stuff and be gone for good. But he had a sick feeling that he didnt care for. Evie had nodded next to him, signaling that they had arrived. He didnt park in the driveway, but on the other side of the street. "Shall we?" He asked, suddenly unbuckling his seatbelt. But then he hesitated. "You dont have to do this, Evie. You dont have to ever see them again."

"I need my art supplies." She said looking at the house as she got out of the vechile. Taking a key out of her bag she unlocked the door and walked in. All of a sudden a beer bottle went flying their direction. If Evie hadn't ducked... well lets not go there.

Logan followed closely behind Evie. When the beer bottle flew past their heads he blinked in confusion and looked around. He didnt like what he saw. One hand reached out and grabbed Evie's as he pressed against her protectively.

Evie walked quietly through the appartment holding tightly to Logan's hand the entire time. Finding her own room quickly she ducked inside taking him with her. "It's not much but this is my old room." She rummaged through a nearby desk and dug out her supplies. Taking a bag from her closet she began to put things in it. Her room was small with a bed, a closet, posters on the walls of her artwork and the drawing desk she was digging through.

Logan thought of how he could have given her a better room if he had known her when she lived here. He thought of how he would have treated her parents. He said nothing of his thoughts, though. "Lets hurry, I dont like this place." His voice was quiet, gentle, masking his inner feelings of hate.

"Okay." Evie finished getting all her stuff and started walking out.
"Dana, I thought that was you, footsteps to light to be anyone else." A drunken slur was heard in the living room. "Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?" Evie's father stood up and walked over to her and Logan. It took him a moment to stop stumbling but he and his bottle of whiskey found their way to Evie.
Evie shook from terror as she didn't respond to her father.
"When I speak to you the right thing to do is answer, now why are you in my house?" He grabbed Evie's wrist and brought her close to him, "You've grown very.... sexy Dana." The man used the hand that wasn't holding her to caress her body a little too much, "I always thought you were though." His whisper was in her ear and Evie couldn't move. She was to afraid of what would happen if she did move.
